‘Next Generation’ Employability Programme for Young Creatives

The ‘Next Generation’ Programme is aimed at young people age 16-24 who are passionate about working in the arts and ready to take their first steps towards a creative career.

Led by Youth Theatre Arts Scotland (YTAS), this FREE support, development, and training programme is tailor-made for young people who have a connection to youth theatre. Whether the dream is being a youth theatre leader, artist, or future arts manager, this programme will give young people the tools they need to thrive.

What’s available:

• Part-time training from November 2024 to June 2025, online and in person. Perfect to fit around young people’s schedule.
• Foundational leadership skills and professional knowledge alongside 15-20 like-minded creatives.
• An accredited SCQF Level 3 qualification – and the chance to progress to Level 6 if young people choose to continue onto year two.
• The confidence to bring fresh ideas to Scotland’s youth theatre scene.

This is a chance for young people to gain real-world skills, meet inspiring peers, and boost their arts career to the next level.
