Eric Liddell Recognition Awards

YouthLink Scotland is working with the Eric Liddell Community to award 20 ‘Eric Liddell Recognition Awards’ to celebrate some of the amazing young people aged 12 – 26 years who have made an outstanding contribution to their community through their involvement in youth work in Scotland. The Eric Liddell 100 is a programme of events and activities to recognise and celebrate the life, sporting and community service achievements of one of Scotland’s iconic figures. It is being planned around 2024, the centenary of Eric Liddell’s historic success at the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris.

As part of the EL100 programme, YouthLink Scotland will be working with the Eric Liddell Community to award 20 ‘Eric Liddell Recognition Awards’ to celebrate some of the amazing young people aged 12 – 26 years, who have made an outstanding contribution to their community through their involvement in youth work in Scotland.

Award Criteria

The criteria for the recognition awards are aligned to the values of the Eric Liddell 100 programme.

We are seeking nominations for young people aged 12 – 26 years who:

  1. Have displayed one or more of the above values, and
  2. Have made an outstanding contribution to their community through their involvement youth work in Scotland in 2024.

The deadline for nominations is 1st October 2024.

Winners will be announced at YouthLink Scotland’s National Youth Work Conference on 5th November 2024.
