The purpose of the Education Reform: A Consultation on the Provisions of the Education Bill is to seek views on the proposals to replace the SQA and approaches to maximise the role inspection plays in providing assurance and supporting teachers and other practitioners to improve education in Scotland, including through legislation. The consultation closes on 18th December.

Following the publication, on 7 November, of the Education Bill consultation paper seeking views on a new qualifications body to replace the SQA, along with views on changes to education inspection in Scotland, Education Reform Directorate have now organised some targeted engagement with stakeholders:
