The Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will improve the disclosure system in Scotland by focusing on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, while ensuring people with convictions can move on and contribute to society.

Disclosure Scotland ask that all organisations and individuals check their information with them is up to date, to ensure that only those who are required to be in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme remain in the scheme and receive important updates.

PVG scheme members are subject to ongoing monitoring. Updating your records will eliminate unnecessary police surveillance.

You can notify Disclosure Scotland when a PVG member stops doing regulated work to ensure users are compliant with data protection legislation.
